Motorcycle of Gold Theft Suspect Found Dumped in Canal

Police discovered the motorcycle used in a gold shop robbery after tracing the suspect's escape route to the Prawet Bureerom Canal. The incident involved an armed robbery at a gold shop in a shopping mall on Sukhumvit 50, where the perpetrator stole a 198-gram gold necklace and 170,000 baht in cash on January 30th. Police investigators tracked surveillance footage and found the motorcycle abandoned in the canal, along with a gold hook with the shop's distinctive markings. The motorcycle was registered to a Mr. Amornthep, who had previously reported it stolen from Wat Saket area on January 1st. Investigators are currently reviewing CCTV footage to identify and capture the suspect.
