Insurgents detonated a roadside bomb targeting military rangers, causing a loud explosion and injuring one soldier in Bannang Sata. At 4:35 PM on February 8, 2569 (2026), a radio center received reports of an improvised explosive device attack targeting a rapid response unit from Infantry Company 1, using an armored REVA vehicle. The incident occurred near the Wang Hin Bridge in Baan Tuera village, Bannang Sata subdistrict, Yala province. Private Worawut Sukchoy was injured and taken to Bannang Sata Hospital, with his condition now stable. The rapid response team was conducting a routine patrol when unknown perpetrators detonated a buried explosive device. The armored vehicle's design helped minimize potential casualties, and military and police forces have secured the area for explosive ordnance disposal (EOD) teams to investigate.
