Pathum Thani Games 2026 Launched Grandly with Over Thousand Athletes Competing Under 'Win Together' Concept
The Pathum Thani Provincial Administrative Organization and Pathum Thani Province officially launched the 2026 Student Sports Games at Thammasat Stadium, Rangsit Center. The opening ceremony was held with great honor, highlighting the province's identity and youth energy.
The event was presided over by Ekwit Mepien, Governor of Pathum Thani, along with Police Major General Khamronwit Thupkrachang, President of the Provincial Administrative Organization. The highlight was the opening performance 'Cheer Forward, Win Together', followed by an elaborate parade divided into four key components:
Part 1: 'Tribute to the King' featuring a military band
Part 2: 'Pathum Thani Identity' showcasing local cultural heritage
Part 3: 'Spirit of Competition' emphasizing fair play
Part 4: 'Pathum Thani Power' featuring representatives from 7 districts and over 1,100 athletes
The torch lighting ceremony was performed by three local sports heroes: Olympic Taekwondo silver medalist Tevin Harnparp, national Taekwondo coach Chatchawan Khao-la-or, and rising badminton star Sukrita Suwachai.
The Pathum Thani Games 2026 will feature 14 sports competitions from February 3-10, 2026, at various venues including Thammasat University Stadium and local sports facilities. Admission is free for spectators.
