A shocking incident unfolded at 1:50 AM on February 17, 2024, when police were alerted to a violent killing at a worker's camp on Praek Road in Samut Prakan province. The victim, Tung Khaing, a 27-year-old Myanmar national, was found dead with severe burn injuries and multiple head wounds. The suspect, Weh Ne Zo, 22, also from Myanmar, did not attempt to flee and waited at the camp to surrender. According to the suspect's confession through an interpreter, the incident began after the victim returned from drinking and started making loud noises, disturbing the suspect's sleep. This escalated into an argument and physical fight. The suspect then retrieved gasoline, doused the victim, set him on fire, and chased him outside, repeatedly striking him on the head with an iron object. Police have arrested the suspect and charged him with intentional murder, pending further forensic investigation.
