CHONBURI — On February 2, 2026, an 18-year-old vocational student was critically injured after being attacked with a knife and robbed of his motorcycle in Bang Lamung district on Monday morning, according to police. At approximately 07:00, Huai Yai Police Station was alerted to an assault and robbery in the Ban Suan Map Charoen area, Moo 2, Khao Mai Kaew subdistrict. Investigators and rescue workers from the Sawang Boriboon Thammasathan Foundation in Pattaya quickly responded to the scene. The victim, a third-year vocational technology student, was found lying in a pool of blood beside the road, still wearing his student uniform. Rescue workers reported he sustained a deep slash wound to his neck, a stab wound under his chin, and a cut to his right ear. He was given first aid and rushed to Pattaya Patmakun Hospital in critical condition. According to Mr. Siraphat's account, he was riding his black Honda Wave 125 motorcycle home to collect exam equipment when a Thai man suddenly kicked his motorcycle, causing him to crash. Despite attempting to fight back, he was repeatedly stabbed and slashed. The victim managed to escape and collapsed near his home, with local residents coming to his aid and prompting the suspect to flee with his motorcycle. The victim's mother pleaded with police to quickly identify and arrest the suspect. Police investigators recovered a 10-12 cm knife believed to be the weapon used in the attack and are currently reviewing CCTV footage to track down the perpetrator.
