Police Arrest Predator Who Lured Woman by Pretending to Be a 'Cat Lover'
Metropolitan Police tracked down a predatory suspect who used a cunning strategy of posing as a 'cat lover' to lure a young woman to his room before sexually assaulting her. On February 10, 2024, senior police officers led an operation to arrest Kaew (surname withheld), age 28, who was wanted on a court warrant from Minburi Criminal Court dated November 21, 2023, for rape charges. Following a complaint from a 20-year-old female victim, police investigated how the suspect befriended her by presenting himself as an animal lover, specifically a 'cat enthusiast'. He gradually gained her trust before inviting her to see his cats at his home. He then took advantage of the situation to sexually assault her. After the incident, the suspect fled and went into hiding in various provinces until Metropolitan Police investigators tracked and arrested him. During questioning, Kaew fully confessed to all charges and was handed over to Romklao Police Station for further legal proceedings.
