Mother Borrows 1,000 Baht, Son Pays Debt, Ends in Tragedy: Young Man Stabbed to Death
On January 30, Police Lieutenant Manthian Phukhao from Inburi Police Station in Singburi Province was notified by the local hospital about a stabbing victim who died while being transported to the hospital.
At the hospital, the deceased was identified as Theeraphat (last name withheld), 24 years old, who had been stabbed in the right side of the neck. The suspect, Suppachok (last name withheld), 22 years old, later surrendered at the police station with the murder weapon - a sharp metal tool.
Crime scene investigation at a house in Moo 5, Chee Nam Rai Subdistrict, Inburi District revealed blood stains on the floor and on the clothes of the victim's parents.
The victim's father, Kritsana, explained that his wife had borrowed 1,000 baht from the suspect's grandmother. When the suspect came to collect the debt, their son had already paid it off. However, repeated challenges and confrontations continued, and on the morning of the incident, the son went to discuss the matter again. A physical altercation broke out, during which the suspect fatally stabbed the son.
Preliminary police actions have been initiated against the suspect.
