Molam Band Leader "Nok Pongsakorn" Furious: Lead Singer Assaulted, Vows to Pursue Justice
A shocking incident has rocked the Molam music scene as Nok Pongsakorn, leader of the famous "Siang Wihok" troupe, posted an angry message on his personal Facebook account after his lead singer was physically attacked. According to Nok's post, during a performance at Wat Klang Udomwet in Phanom Phrai District, Roi Et Province, "Toffee Ekdanai" was physically assaulted (slapped on the head), which he views as a disgraceful disrespect to fellow professionals. Nok questioned the dignity of artists, emphasizing that they should not be bullied at will. Nok revealed that during the incident, Toffee Ekdanai photographed the perpetrator's ID card as evidence, but was told by officials that he was at fault. Moreover, the perpetrator was not immediately detained, creating a sense of insecurity. Nok Pongsakorn firmly stated he will pursue the case to the end, declaring, "My brother will not be hurt for free." He also addressed the Phanom Phrai Police Station superintendent, seeking fair treatment and emphasizing that artists are citizens deserving legal protection. "Every profession has its honor and dignity. Try slapping you and see how you like it..." he challenged. After the post was shared, fans and Molam industry colleagues rallied support, sharing the post and demanding justice while criticizing the perpetrator's behavior and questioning the officials' handling of the incident.
