Prachuap Khiri Khan Labor Office Cracks Down on Illegal Foreign Workers, Catches Myanmar Man Boldly Selling Meat
Prachuap Khiri Khan labor authorities, in collaboration with local security forces, conducted a sweep targeting illegal foreign workers after receiving tips about a store brazenly using foreign labor to handle cash transactions in violation of local regulations.
They discovered Too Too Soe, a Myanmar national, confidently operating a cash register and making change, despite his work permit only allowing him to work as a manual laborer (carrier). When asked to show his documentation, Too Too Soe turned pale, as he was working in a sales position - a job strictly reserved for Thai nationals.
Too Too Soe admitted to working illegally for over a year, earning 500 baht per day, with a female employer in Ko Lak subdistrict. Labor authorities are preparing to prosecute both the employee and employer for violating foreign worker management regulations, with the local police station and labor office set to impose maximum penalties.
