Cut Trees on Median, Improve Traffic Signals After Tragic Teacher's Fatal Accident
Bang Khen Police and Chatuchak District cut trees on road median and improve traffic signals following a tragic incident where a female teacher died after a car accident. At 10:00 AM on February 20th, Police Colonel Anant Worasan ordered officials to inspect the accident site near Phahonyothin Soi 49 and in front of the Bhum Jai Thai Party headquarters to prevent future accidents. After a car collision with a taxi near the vehicle turnaround point caused the vehicle to cross the median and crash into a BTS train pillar, a female driver named Ms. Kalaya, a 27-year-old kindergarten teacher, was killed at 4:30 AM on February 19th. Authorities implemented additional safety measures including installing warning lights, cutting obstructive trees, and increasing traffic monitoring.
