Paralyzed Man Claims He Was Abandoned Under Motorway, Family Disputes Circumstances

On February 20, 2024, a rescue official named Worawut Khwanjai posted a video requesting help locating an elderly paralyzed man who claimed he was dropped off under the M81 Motorway by two individuals. The man, Somboon, 58 years old, suffers from lower body paralysis and was found crawling on the road seeking assistance. According to Somboon, on February 18th, his older brother, sister, and niece brought him in a pickup truck and left him under a bridge without explanation. He maintains he did not argue with his family and wants to return home. When police contacted his brother, the sibling said Somboon had been missing from home for about 10 days and was not initially willing to retrieve him. The case remains unresolved, with conflicting statements from Somboon and his family about how he ended up abandoned under the motorway.
