2 Women Return from Sukiyaki Buffet, Motorcycle Crash Crosses Railroad Tracks, Kills 1, Critically Injures Another

On February 5, 2024 at 11:50 PM, Chonburi police were notified of a motorcycle accident with a sedan near the railroad tracks in Na Pa Subdistrict, Mueang Chonburi District. At the scene, a gray sedan was found with extensive left-side damage, and a pink Honda motorcycle was overturned nearby. Ms. Veenatthida, 39, was found unconscious without a pulse and could not be resuscitated. Ms. Vonkarn, 22, was injured and taken to Chonburi Hospital. Ms. Vonkarn, who works at a convenience store in Ban Bueng District, explained that they had just finished eating at a famous sukiyaki buffet and were heading back to their accommodation when the accident occurred. Ms. Jingjai, 45, the sedan driver, stated she was driving normally when the motorcycle suddenly flew and collided with her vehicle at full force. Police have documented evidence and are preparing to review additional CCTV footage to proceed with legal actions.
