Tragic: 60-Year-Old Man Dies After Motorcycle Crashes into Parked Truck at Red Light
On February 1st at around 7:30 PM, police from Tha Phon Police Station in Phetchabun were notified of a fatal motorcycle accident. The incident occurred on the Saraburi-Lom Sak Road near the Nangua Subdistrict Municipality traffic light. At the scene, officers found a Honda Click motorcycle crashed into the rear of a 10-wheel Hino truck. The victim, Mr. Thian, 60, was found dead, draped over his motorcycle. The truck driver, Jirasak, 23, reported he was returning from a delivery to Lom Sak and had stopped at the red light. Police preliminary investigation suggests poor nighttime visibility likely caused Mr. Thian to not see the stationary truck, resulting in the fatal collision. The body was sent for autopsy, and the truck driver was tested for alcohol.
