Chaiwut Warns: People Aren't Afraid of Coup, But Worry About 'Orange-Red' Alliance
Chaiwut Thanakmanusorn, leader of the Rak Chart Party and prime ministerial candidate, along with Jed Tonawanich, campaigned at Gimyong Market in Hat Yai, Songkhla on February 4th. Chaiwut stated that his party was warmly welcomed by local residents and thanked people who remember his previous role in Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha's government. He emphasized that while people are not afraid of potential coups, they are concerned about an 'orange-red' alliance that might destabilize the country. Chaiwut believes that a potential mixed government between orange (Move Forward Party) and red (Pheu Thai Party) could create chaos and potentially impact national institutions due to their similar interest groups and lack of substantial national improvement plans.
