Tragic Valentine's Day Motorcycle Crash Claims Young Man's Life in Nonthaburi
NONTHABURI — On 12 February 2026, a 26-year-old man named Narin Suksusom died after losing control of his motorcycle and crashing on Kanchanaphisek Road in Bang Bua Thong district during the early morning hours. Police were alerted at 01:00 about a single-vehicle accident on the road's outbound side, near the bridge over Khlong Bang Phraek. Rescue workers and a forensic doctor attended the scene, finding Narin's body near the central reservation beside a damaged black Yamaha Grand Filano motorcycle. A poignant detail emerged when officers discovered a gift tumbler in a bag hanging from the motorcycle, laser-engraved with the victim's portrait and the message 'Happy Valentine'. The victim's 32-year-old girlfriend, who had given him the gift earlier that night, arrived at the scene and was devastated by his death. A witness who was riding behind Narin stated the motorcycle appeared to hit a pothole, causing it to wobble and lose control before sliding along the road. Police preliminary investigations suggest no other vehicles were involved, and they will review nearby CCTV footage to confirm the circumstances. The body was released to Ruamkatanyu Foundation rescue workers for transfer to the Institute of Forensic Science for further examination.
