Police successfully captured the suspect, Chonthip (alias Ke), 47, who committed a lone gold shop robbery at Bangkok Yaowaraj Gold Shop in Khon Kaen Province. The theft occurred on February 15th, involving a gold necklace worth approximately 1.9 million baht. A team of high-ranking police officers from Region 4 arrested the suspect while he was cleaning a noodle shop. During the investigation, they discovered the stolen gold hidden inside a 4x4 inch metal house pillar, compressed with rice straw. The suspect, originally from another area but married locally, had separated from his wife and was responsible for supporting his children. Facing significant debt as a noodle vendor, he decided to commit the robbery. The motorcycle used in the crime was also recovered from a nearby pond, and the suspect's clothes from the day of the incident were burned.
