Deputy National Police Chief is investigating a solo gold shop robbery where thieves stole 26 baht of gold valued at over 2 million baht. The incident occurred at a gold shop in Ban Thum Subdistrict, Mueang District, Khon Kaen Province, which remains open during Chinese New Year. Police investigative teams from various units are examining the crime scene, collecting witness statements, and reviewing CCTV footage from the past 15 days. Police Colonel Anuwat Suwannaphum, Khon Kaen Provincial Police Commander, stated the case has significant progress but details cannot be disclosed to prevent the suspect from fleeing. Today, Deputy Police Chief Thatchai Pitaneelabut will personally inspect the crime scene and meet with investigative teams to expedite the search. Three pieces of evidence were left at the scene, including a 1x1 inch metal box and a wooden rod, which forensic teams have collected for DNA and fingerprint analysis.
