Heartbroken Mother Witnesses Brutal Murder of Daughter by Son-in-Law

On February 21, 2024, Police Lieutenant Settha Saranan from Ban Mi Police Station reported that at 9:10 PM on February 20, an attack with a knife occurred near a temple in Chon Muang Subdistrict, Lopburi Province. The victim, Ms. Pawilan, 36, was returning from work when her husband Sunthorn (aka Park), 37, violently pulled her from a motorcycle and stabbed her repeatedly. The victim's mother, Mrs. Ampai, 55, witnessed the horrific attack. The couple had been married for almost 20 years with two children, aged 14 and 4. Previously, on January 14, the son-in-law had also attacked the daughter with a knife, but police had failed to take action. Forensic examination revealed multiple stab wounds: two on the right arm, one on the left arm, two on the chin, and five on the chest. The victim died shortly after being taken to the hospital. Her mother is now pleading with police to quickly arrest the perpetrator.
