The incident involves Nopparat, alias 'L', age 30, who shot at rescue workers on Highway 7 in Chon Buri before fleeing to his hometown with a firearm, leading to the closure of 40 schools for student safety. On February 18, 2024, police found a pickup truck similar to Nopparat's abandoned in Lad Bua Luang District, Ayutthaya Province. The vehicle was found with flat tires, and authorities have cordoned off the area and set up checkpoints nearby.
