Lottery Seller Nearly Mobbed After Stealing from 80-Year-Old Elderly Woman
At 10:10 AM on February 15th, the Mae Faek Police Radio Center received a report of theft at the Sunday Market in Chiang Mai. When officers arrived, they found locals surrounding a woman and verbally abusing her. The suspect, identified as a 70-year-old lottery seller named 'Ms. A', was quickly taken into police custody to prevent potential mob justice.
During questioning, the woman admitted she committed the theft due to financial desperation, significant debt, and having already pawned her Honda City car. The victim, 80-year-old Grandmother Kham, was walking with relatives when the suspect approached her, pretended to engage in conversation, and stole her red wallet.
When the victim's relatives noticed the theft, they alerted nearby people who quickly caught the suspect. Remarkably, Grandmother Kham showed incredible compassion, choosing not to press charges and offering forgiveness to the woman.
