BYD, a prominent electric vehicle distributor in Thailand, has partnered with the Football Association of Thailand to launch an official AFC 'B' Coaching Certificate Course. The program, held on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at Pattana Sports Club in Si Racha, Chonburi, offers a free training opportunity for 24 coaches from across the country.
The course is designed to develop football coaches to B License standards set by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC), focusing on enhancing coaching capabilities in T2 and T3 leagues, as well as developing advanced youth and amateur football coaches. Highlights of the event included guest speakers Anthony Hudson, head coach of the Thai national men's team, and Tong Gwin Thammasajjanant, a legendary Thai goalkeeper.
Jirasak Chuen-arom, Managing Director of Reve Automotive, emphasized BYD's commitment to developing Thai football, stating that coaches require internationally recognized training and proper licensing. The program aims to create a network of quality B License coaches to strengthen Thailand's football infrastructure and support sustainable international development.
The coaches were selected from Thai League 3 clubs across six zones, with four coaches from each zone, ensuring a comprehensive nationwide approach to coaching development.
