Lux, Brother of Baitoey Arsiam, Falls Victim to Scammers, Loses Nearly 200,000 Baht

Lux Charnwit, brother of singer Baitoey Arsiam, was scammed out of 170,000 baht by professional fraudsters. The scammers posed as Flash Express delivery service, sending a link that coincidentally matched a package Lux was expecting. Over 2-3 days, they conversed about a supposedly damaged package, with Lux following all their instructions, ultimately transferring money through his bank app. He described the scammers as extremely smooth and convincing, and only realized he was tricked after the money had already left his account. Despite being typically cautious about such scams, Lux found everything seemed remarkably authentic. He has filed a police report and hopes to share his experience as a warning to others, especially noting how vulnerable elderly people in rural areas might be to such sophisticated fraud attempts.
