Complaints Filed Against Election Commission: 28 Cases of Voting Irregularities and Improper Election Management

The Ombudsman disclosed 28 complaints against the Election Commission (EC) regarding the 2024 election, stressing the importance of giving the EC a chance to explain and ensure fairness. On February 19, 2024, at the Ombudsman's Office, Police General Sarayuth Sangwonpokhai revealed the progress of public complaints requesting the Constitutional Court to examine the legality of barcodes and QR codes on election ballots and the EC's election management. The complaints were divided into two main issues: first, 18 complaints about voting privacy violations, and second, 10 complaints about improper election management by EC officials and polling unit committees. The Ombudsman emphasized that they will carefully examine all evidence, provide fairness to all parties, and follow legal principles, stating that anyone found guilty will be held accountable.
