Russian Man Creates Chaos on Plane, Strips Naked and Attempts to Exit Mid-Flight

On January 31st, media reported a case involving a Russian national traveling from Nha Trang to Bangkok. Passengers reported that the 41-year-old man displayed abnormal behavior after talking with another passenger, repeatedly entering and exiting the bathroom, arguing with flight attendants, and demanding the plane's door be opened. He used crude Russian language and shouted "Don't touch me," appearing to be intoxicated. Immigration authorities at Don Mueang Airport investigated and found that the man arrived on Thai AirAsia Flight FD647 from Vietnam on January 29th. When attempting to enter the country, he was found to be visibly drunk, unable to communicate coherently or explain his purpose of entry, and lacking sufficient funds as required by law. Immigration officials invoked sections 12(2) and 12(9) of the Immigration Act, which prohibit entry for foreigners without adequate means of subsistence or financial guarantees. As a result, they denied him entry and deported him back to his origin country on Flight FD646 at 07:55 AM on January 31st.
