Brutal Attack: Arsonist Sets Siberian Husky on Fire, Owner Seeks Legal Action
A heartbreaking incident occurred in Songkhla province where a 2-year-old female Siberian Husky named Molly was deliberately set on fire by an unknown perpetrator. The attack happened at 3:10 AM on February 14th near Laem Kwan Village, with the dog somehow managing to return home while still burning. The owner, Somchai Chanawanno, 52, discovered the dog after a Good Samaritan named Adisorn Songsuwarn found her severely burned and barely alive near a water reservoir. Veterinarians have assessed her burns as critical, reaching deep muscle layers with high risk of infection. She will require extensive treatment at Prince of Songkla University's veterinary hospital, with recovery expected to take months. Somchai plans to file a police report and emphasized that while dogs might cause occasional problems, they should never be subjected to such brutal violence. The dog is currently receiving medical care and will be transferred to the university hospital for specialized treatment.
