Prisoner Escapes Nonthaburi Provincial Prison by Scaling Wall in Midnight Breakout

A prisoner from Nonthaburi Provincial Prison escaped from his cell by climbing over the prison wall in the middle of the night, heading towards the Nonthaburi pier. Prison guards only discovered his absence during the morning headcount at 9:00 AM on February 13, 2024. Nonthaburi Prison officials reported to the investigation police that during the morning prisoner count, they found that male prisoner Chuchai Srijin, 40 years old, had disappeared from the dormitory. Investigation revealed that Chuchai escaped around 2:00 AM, climbing over the prison wall near Tower 2, descending to the parking lot next to the prison facility, and then walking towards the Nonthaburi pier. After receiving the report, Police Colonel Chaychai Natanakan ordered investigative police to coordinate with the Nonthaburi Prison Commander to track down Chuchai and bring him back to face charges. Background checks showed that Chuchai was previously arrested by Phai Bang Police in Nonthaburi Province for theft in November 2023, with his registered residence in Phai Bang Subdistrict, Bang Kruai District, Nonthaburi Province.
