Veterans Day: Defense Ministry Holds Commemoration Ceremony Honoring Brave Soldiers' Sacrifices

On February 3, 2026, the Ministry of Defense's Permanent Secretary Office organized a commemorative ceremony for veterans, paying tribute to the heroic soldiers. Led by General Tharaphong Malakham, the ceremony began with a video tribute showcasing the courage, sacrifice, and unwavering dedication of Thai soldiers who stood steadfast for their country, even at the cost of their own lives. The Permanent Secretary laid a wreath and delivered a speech honoring the fallen soldiers, emphasizing that their heroic acts are the foundation of national security, peace, and preservation of the nation, religion, and beloved monarchy. The ceremony concluded with a religious rite by 10 monks from Wat Chana Songkhram, dedicating merit to the souls of fallen soldiers.
