Nanotech NSTDA Collaborates with Spike Archi Technics to Open 'Microspike Technology Pavilion' at nano tech 2026
The National Nanotechnology Center (Nanotech) of the NSTDA, in collaboration with Spike Archi Technics (a deep tech startup under NSTDA) and Furutaka Electronics Co., Ltd. from Japan, has opened the "Microspike Technology Pavilion". The exhibition highlights future innovations in advanced nanomaterials, particularly microscale needle technologies that can be applied across various industries, including health and beauty. The event takes place at the 25th International Nanotechnology Exhibition and Conference (nano tech 2026) at Tokyo Big Sight in Tokyo, Japan, with Thai Ambassador to Japan Vichhu Vejjajiva as the honored guest. "Nano tech" is a recurring global nanotechnology exhibition and conference held in Tokyo, focusing on displaying innovative new materials, nanomaterials, measurement technologies, and nanotechnology applications in industrial sectors. This year's event runs from January 28-30, 2026, under the theme "Bridge to Future Business", with an expected attendance of over 47,000 participants. Ambassador Vichhu Vejjajiva noted that this pavilion represents a significant collaboration between Thailand and Japan in science, technology, and business, marking an important step for Thai startup companies to partner concretely with Japanese businesses. Prof. Dr. Chookiat Limpaichang, NSTDA Director, emphasized the agency's commitment to developing nanotechnology through international collaborations, particularly with Japan, which has outstanding advancements in this field. Following the COVID-19 pandemic slowdown, this return to nano tech 2026 is more than just another exhibition - it showcases Thailand's research development and its ability to translate research into practical applications, demonstrating the confidence of Japanese partners in Thai researchers' potential.
