Investigating Land Encroachment: Investors Fill Public Canal, Block Water Path to Sea

Chumporn Internal Security Operations Command and Thayang Municipality investigators conducted an on-site inspection of a land area in Moo 8, near Rural Road 4008, after receiving complaints about land encroachment. The investigation revealed that the land had been filled with laterite soil, blocking a public water drainage channel near the coastline. Vinyl signs indicating land division were found, showing four land parcels being prepared for sale. The deputy district chief reported that approximately 1 rai, 2 ngan, and 25 square wah of public land had been illegally filled without authorization. The municipality plans to post warning signs and file a criminal complaint with local police to pursue legal action against the land investors.
