16-Year-Old Nephew Stabs Uncle 13 Times After Being Slapped, Tragic Family Conflict Ends in Death
On February 2nd, 2024, local police were notified of a fatal stabbing at a residence in Non Nam Taeng Subdistrict, Amnat Charoen Province. Investigators discovered a 44-year-old man dead with 13 knife wounds across his chest, face, and back. The 16-year-old nephew, who was the perpetrator, was found crying at the scene and waiting to surrender.
Initial investigations revealed that the nephew was sitting with friends when the uncle approached and started an argument. After being slapped hard, the nephew became enraged and grabbed a sharp knife from a storage box, stabbing the uncle once. A physical struggle ensued, with the uncle attempting to strike back with a wooden fence, before the nephew ultimately killed him with multiple stab wounds.
The victim's mother explained that while the two often had verbal arguments, they had never been physically violent before. She described the victim as someone who frequently teased and spoke harshly to the nephew, while the nephew was typically quiet. The police took the teenage suspect into custody and will proceed with legal proceedings.
