Grandmother Faints as 22-Year-Old Disabled Grandson Stabs 70-Year-Old Grandfather to Death After Repeated Verbal Abuse
At 7:40 PM on February 16, police were called to a single-story house in Nong Hi Subdistrict, Udon Thani, where a 70-year-old man was found dead on a sofa with multiple stab wounds. The 22-year-old grandson, who has a disability and ADHD, waited at the scene after the incident. He confessed to killing his grandfather, explaining that he had endured years of verbal abuse and was tired of constant criticism. The grandfather reportedly often drank alcohol and would verbally and physically attack the grandson since he was young. On the day of the incident, after being repeatedly kicked and verbally abused, the grandson finally snapped and used a kitchen knife to fatally stab his grandfather. The grandmother was left traumatized, nearly fainting at the scene. Police took the grandson into custody for further legal processing.
