No Holds Barred – The Clash Between Anutthin and Nattawut: Who's Burning Down the House?
Election campaigning is becoming increasingly intense as the day approaches when citizens will enter the polling booths on February 8th, leading to heated and passionate verbal battles across various political stages.
In recent days, there's been a spicy confrontation between Anutthin Charnweerakul, the Prime Minister and Bhumjai Thai Party leader, and Nattawut Saikua, a Pheu Thai Party campaign assistant!
This stems from the Bhumjai Thai Party's campaign strategy of dividing parties into "patriotic" and "unpatriotic" parties, which has drawn widespread criticism about creating division.
Nattawut was one of those who responded to this Bhumjai Thai narrative. Subsequently, Anutthin countered by bringing up the term "Uncle's nephew" and asking "Who is inciting people to burn down houses and cities."
This prompted "The Tone" (Pheu Thai's campaign speaker) to immediately push back, calling such statements ridiculous!!
The accusation about inciting burning has been ongoing, using a clip of Nattawut's speech on the Red Shirt stage where he said "Burn it, brothers, I'll take responsibility."
This was linked to the 2010 Red Shirt protests at Rajprasong, where unknown persons burned shopping centers. However, the truth is that Nattawut proved in court that the "burn it" speech was actually from Chanthaburi, before the 2010 protests, and was deliberately edited to discredit him!!
Moreover, in the case of the Rajprasong mall burning, the Red Shirt side was already cleared of responsibility. In summary, the clip of Nattawut ordering the burning was doctored, and he won the court case. The Red Shirt mall burning case was also dismissed!
The article suggests that such inflammatory rhetoric, especially from a Prime Minister, is irresponsible and could potentially reignite tensions among Red Shirt supporters who feel falsely accused.
