Power of Faith! Famous Temple Casts Golden Heart of Sangkajaai Buddha, Lottery Enthusiasts Seek Lucky Numbers
On February 15, 2026, at Chai Thung Temple in Dong Kon, Sank Buri District, Chai Nat Province, Phra Palad Pakorn Chotipanyo, the temple abbot, led a magnificent golden casting ceremony for the 'Rich Luang Por Kuay Sangkajaai Heart'.
The event was presided over by Phra Raj Vajirakit, the provincial Buddhist committee head, along with famous fortune teller Ajarn Jen Yanathip and Dr. Jakkit Silachern from the Northern Tourism Association. The golden heart, resembling a lotus flower, measures 49 centimeters wide and 99 centimeters high, marking the beginning of constructing a massive 8-meter tall Sangkajaai Buddha statue.
The project honors the legacy of Luang Por Kuay from Khotsitaram Temple, who originally created a Sangkajaai Buddha to restore this once-abandoned temple. The ceremony culminated with lottery enthusiasts excitedly photographing 'lucky numbers' appearing in the incense sticks, notably the number 193. The temple will offer sacred amulets for purchase to fund the statue's completion.
