Kindergarten Teacher Tries to Send Children Home by Tricking Them into Taking Laxatives

In St. Charles, Illinois, police received reports from multiple parents that their children were given chewable laxatives by a daycare center teacher. The perpetrator, Yisel J. J., 23 years old, was charged with serious bodily harm and endangering children's health. She tricked children aged 2 and younger into believing the laxatives were candies. Due to the center's policy of sending sick children home for 24 hours, the teacher used this as an opportunity to rest, feeling overwhelmed. According to one parent, this was not a one-time incident, and the teacher had been trying to find reasons for children's stomach pains for weeks.
