ONE Championship Launches into Japan, Unveils NEW SAMURAI Fight Series
Yahoo Japan reported that ONE Championship, the famous Asian martial arts organization, announced a new series called ONE SAMURAI that will organize 12 fights per year, primarily featuring Japanese fighters. Chatchaval Sisayodom, ONE Championship's CEO, revealed, 'This is a new adventure for the ONE organization'. The concept was inspired by conversations with Sayama Satoru, a legendary Japanese professional wrestler, with the aim of reviving the spirit of Japanese fighters. The series will focus 75% on Japanese fighters to create and promote rising stars to the global stage. The report indicates that the first ONE SAMURAI event will debut on April 29th at Ariake Arena in Tokyo, with plans to host approximately 60 competitions over 5 years and offering a top prize of 15 million yen (approximately 3.6 million baht).
