International Collaboration to Crush Scams and Halt Cross-Border Cybercrime
Thailand is set to host a critical international conference aimed at enhancing cross-border cooperation to combat emerging cyber threats and scam networks causing severe damage across multiple countries. The FBI Alumni Association (FBI-NA) of Thailand is preparing for a major conference titled 'Collaboration in Action: Crushing Scams, Disrupting Fraud and Protecting People', which will bring together law enforcement leaders from the Asia-Pacific region.
The conference will feature prominent representatives including Mr. Benjamin G. Virtue, Legal Attaché from the U.S. Central Investigation Office, and will focus on knowledge exchange, investigative technologies, and the latest information on transnational crime. High-ranking Thai police officials, including Police General Visnu Prasatthongosoth, the FBI-NA Alumni Association president, will participate in the event.
The FBI National Academy (FBI-NA) training program, which has trained law enforcement leaders from over 150 countries, aims to develop professional standards, modern investigative techniques, and international cooperation networks. Thailand is recognized as a key participant in this global law enforcement training initiative.
This conference is seen as a crucial starting point for proactive collaboration to disrupt online fraud networks, cut off criminal funding sources, and seriously enhance digital-era citizen protection.
