Hong Kong Police Chief Flies Directly to Thank Thailand, Praises Immigration Officers for Intercepting International Criminals
Hong Kong Police Chief Zhou Yatming traveled to the National Police Headquarters to officially thank the Thai National Police Office and Immigration Bureau for their strong cooperation in capturing several important transnational criminals. During the meeting, he specifically thanked Thai police for capturing a Chinese robbery suspect who had committed a luxury brand store theft in Hong Kong before fleeing to Thailand and being quickly intercepted by Immigration Bureau officers at Suvarnabhumi Airport. The Hong Kong Police Chief also praised Thai authorities' recent success in capturing a long-fugitive murder suspect, demonstrating the high-efficiency of international intelligence, investigation, and law enforcement cooperation. He presented an official thank you letter and commemorative medals to 28 Thai immigration officers. The Thai National Police Chief reaffirmed their clear stance of not allowing Thailand to become a refuge or escape route for transnational criminals, and committed to working closely with international police agencies to maintain public safety and global community confidence.
