Chinese Woman Pours Boiling Water on Car Windshield to 'Test Snow Melting', Faces Backlash
On January 21st, a woman from Anhui province, China, posted a video claiming to conduct an 'ice melting experiment' by pouring boiling water on a snow-covered car windshield. Initially stating she randomly selected the vehicle, she faced heavy criticism from internet users. In the clip, she explained that people said boiling water on a thick snow-covered windshield might cause the glass to crack. Curious, she boiled water and poured it on a red car with 7-8 centimeters of snow. After pouring the water, the snow melted instantly. Just as she was about to say the boiling water didn't crack the windshield, a sound resembling glass cracking was heard. After the video spread, netizens questioned whether the car was hers. Her initial response that it was a 'randomly selected' car triggered severe criticism. Later, she clarified that the car belonged to her sister, not someone else. However, many netizens still criticized her for seeking attention without considering potential consequences. Lawyer Li Jian from Hunan Wanhe Law Firm noted that if the action damages someone else's vehicle, the perpetrator must legally compensate for damages and could potentially face legal punishment for disturbing public order.
