Police Arrest Drunk Myanmar Man Who Broke into House, Threatened Victim with Knife, Demanded 2,000 Baht Transfer
On February 21st, Bang Phong Phang police officers arrested Mr. Aung Ye Kyaw, a 31-year-old Myanmar national, following a home invasion incident. The suspect broke into a home on Soi Nonsee 14, entering the second-floor bedroom while the 33-year-old female victim was present. Intoxicated and holding a knife, he covered her mouth and demanded a 2,000 baht bank transfer. After receiving the money, he fled the scene. Police tracked him using CCTV footage and located him in a rented room on Sathu Pradit Soi 57. The suspect confessed to the crime, claiming he was drunk at the time of the incident.
