Closed Van Skids Off Curve, Crashes into Passenger Minibus: 1 Dead, 4 Injured

On February 5, 2024, police in Thara District were notified of an accident involving a closed cargo van colliding with a passenger minibus near BoHin village. At the scene, the van was severely overturned, and the passenger minibus from the Khok Chang–Yala route was also badly damaged. The incident resulted in one fatality and four serious injuries. Rescue workers quickly transported the wounded to Thara Hospital. Initial investigation revealed the van was traveling from Betong to Yala when it lost control, skidded off the curve, and crashed into the passenger vehicle. The van's driver died, while his wife was injured. The minibus driver was trapped in the vehicle, and two passengers were also seriously hurt.
