Breaking News: Amulet of Luang Por Yong Yut from Wat Khao Mai Daeng
Luang Por Yong Yut, originally named Jumpe Kaewpairam, was born on September 17, 1927, in a houseboat on the Chao Phraya River in Chai Yo District, Ang Thong Province. He was raised by a relative, a monk named Luang Pu Ho, and received his early education at local schools. At age 23, he decided to become a monk to repay his parents' kindness, receiving his ordination at Wat Ban Pa. In 1959, while traveling through Chon Buri, he discovered Khao Mai Daeng and decided to establish a temple there. Despite initial challenges, including the death of Prime Minister Sarit Thanarat, he persevered with support from the Royal Thai Navy. He was later granted the ecclesiastical title of Phra Kru Thammakij Kowit. He passed away peacefully on November 17, 2545 (2002) at the age of 75, after creating numerous sacred amulets that became highly revered. His first amulet series, created in 1973, was particularly famous, with 2,000 pieces in four different colors, featuring his image and special Buddhist yantra designs.
