Honda LPGA Thailand 2026 Invites Golf Fans to Knit Breast Prostheses for Cancer Patients
Breast cancer continues to be the number one health problem for women globally, with Thailand reporting 38,559 patients in 2022, or approximately 60 people per day. This reflects the ongoing need for treatment and continuous emotional support for patients. As a result, the Honda LPGA Thailand 2026 women's golf tournament is moving forward with a social activity called 'Knitting Breasts Together, Fighting Breast Cancer' for the third consecutive year, inviting golf fans and the public to knit 500 breast prostheses to be donated to breast cancer patients at Chonburi Cancer Hospital. The event will be held from February 19-22, 2026, between 8:30 AM and 3:30 PM at the Honda Pavilion near the 18th green at Siam Country Club Old Course in Chonburi. Participants will receive commemorative gifts, with cooperation from Sabina Public Company Limited, Honda Group, and IMG Services (Thailand). This year, world-class golfers including 17-year-old amateur Thai golfer Prim-Prim Prachnakon (two-time SEA Games gold medalist), 17-year-old American professional golfer Gianna Clemente, and 28-year-old Japanese JLPGA tour golfer Nariha Miyata will join in inviting sports fans to spread support through an activity reflecting the concept of 'Women for Women'. Savitree Kaewpuangngam, Executive Director of Thai Honda, stated that the activity is part of their commitment to creating social value alongside hosting a world-class tournament. Winnie Heng, Senior Vice President and Managing Director of IMG Services (Thailand), emphasized that the Honda LPGA Thailand aims to be more than just a sports competition, but a platform for creating positive energy both on and off the course. The Honda LPGA Thailand 2026 tournament will be held from February 19-22, 2026, featuring 72 top women golfers competing for a total prize of 1.8 million US dollars (approximately 60 million baht). The event will be broadcast live on PPTV HD Channel 36 and AIS Play, with tickets available for general and VIP admission.
