Fire Destroys Auto Paint Shop in Ayutthaya, 7 Customer Vehicles Damaged
A massive fire erupted at Oom Auto Car, a vehicle paint and body repair center located on the Ayutthaya-Sena Road in Phra Khao Subdistrict, Bang Ban District, Ayutthaya Province. The incident occurred at 1:00 PM on January 31st, and was reported by Police Lieutenant Pramoon Boonchalee from the local police station. Over 10 fire trucks from nearby areas were dispatched to combat the intense fire. The blaze was particularly severe due to polyurethane foam insulation on the roof, causing fire droplets to quickly spread to vehicles parked below. Employees attempted to use more than 10 fire extinguishers but were unable to control the flames. The shop owner, Oom, revealed that the incident happened during the lunch break when no staff were present inside the shop. Workers later ran in to report fire emerging from the roof area. The fire ultimately damaged at least 7 customer vehicles parked for repair and painting. The total damage value is still being assessed, though the shop has insurance coverage. The exact cause of the fire is pending further investigation by forensic officials.
