Alarming Factory Fire: Rubber Car Trim Plant Engulfed in Flames
On February 21, 2024, Police Lieutenant Colonel Panupong Chuan-Krotok from Nakhon Ratchasima City Police Station was notified of a factory fire in Nong Bua Sala Subdistrict. Fire trucks from Nong Bua Sala Municipality and the Sawang Metta Korat rescue volunteers responded to the scene. The factory produces automotive rubber parts including car door seals and window trims. Flames erupted in machinery, generating thick smoke with a chemical-like smell. Four on-site firefighting staff experienced smoke inhalation, chest tightness, and throat irritation, requiring immediate medical attention. Firefighting teams from Nakhon Ratchasima City Municipality, Hua Thale Subdistrict, and Nong Raveang Subdistrict spent over 40 minutes controlling the blaze. Machinery and equipment were damaged, and the cause is under investigation, with preliminary suspicions pointing to an electrical short circuit.
