Buddhist Devotees Join Consecration Ceremony for 111-Year Commemoration of Phra Ruang Roj Rit Buddha Image

On February 11, 2024, a significant religious ceremony took place at Phra Pathom Chedi Temple in Nakhon Pathom. Provincial Governor Arocha Nantamantra and Buddhist monk Phra Dhamma Vajira Chetiyacharya led the golden offering ceremony for the sacred Phra Ruang Roj Rit Buddha statue. The event was attended by local officials and many citizens seeking spiritual blessings. The public will be allowed to participate in the gold-leaf offering ceremony from now until April 2027. The Phra Ruang Roj Rit is a historically significant Buddha statue originally discovered during the reign of King Rama VI and has been a revered religious icon in Nakhon Pathom for over a century.
