Foreign Son-in-Law Shocked by Gold Selling Price After Years of Collection
An incredible surprise! A foreign son-in-law was stunned by the gold selling price after collecting it for many years, with the value far exceeding his expectations.
On January 30th, Mr. Namo from Ban Chang Tong posted a clip on TikTok @namobanchangtongdaengso0 after a customer (a Thai woman and her foreign husband) brought in gold to sell during a period of rising gold prices.
This foreign son-in-law, an American man now living in Surin at his wife's home (while their children are in America), brought gold collected over many years to sell. The collection included gold coins, necklaces, and rings, all purchased in America. He initially estimated the value at around 370,000 baht.
After X-raying the gold's purity, they found the coins were 99% gold, with other items ranging from 75% to 79% gold. Following the melting process, Mr. Namo calculated the total selling price at 547,266 baht. The foreign husband was shocked, exclaiming that the amount was much more than he had ever hoped for.
