Madam Pang Visits and Encourages Thai U17 National Team in Samui Ahead of Asian Championship

Nual Phan Lamsam, President of the Football Association of Thailand, visited and observed the training session of the Thai U17 national football team at the Maralena Sport Resort on Samui Island in Surat Thani province. The team is preparing for the AFC U17 Championship 2026 final round, to be held from May 5-22 in Saudi Arabia, under the leadership of head coach Marco Gockel. In a recent warm-up match, the Thai U17 team played against Samui United, a Thai League 3 team, and ended with a 2-2 draw across four 30-minute quarters. This is the team's second training camp this year, with training continuing until February 18 before returning to Bangkok in March, potentially including a friendly match with Uzbekistan, the previous U17 Asian Champions.
