Fire Destroys Residence in Bang Sare, Damages Exceed Half a Million Baht
A fire broke out at 9:50 PM on February 16, 2026, at a residential shelter within a home compound in Soi Thetsaban 26 Ruam Mit, Moo 10, Bang Sare Subdistrict, Sattahip District, Chonburi Province. Police Lieutenant Nattapong Kalpanart from Sattahip Police Station was notified and coordinated with Sombat Kaewpratoom, Mayor of Klet Kaew Subdistrict, to mobilize firefighting support from multiple local municipalities.
At the scene, the fire was burning intensely and spreading rapidly across the shelter. Nirundorn Singhtothong, 35, the property owner, stood in shock, crying and attempting to salvage personal belongings including two laptops, gold, mobile phones, cash, bed, TV, refrigerator, and air conditioner, with total damages exceeding 500,000 baht.
His sister Nuanong, 32, reported that she heard a loud explosion-like sound before the rapid fire outbreak and immediately called firefighters. Preliminary police investigation suggests an electrical short circuit, with further investigation pending to determine the exact cause.
