Diverse Perspectives - GULF Opens Art Space for Healing in 'EmpoweringMe' Exhibition
For over a decade, Gulf Development Public Company Limited (GULF) has been supporting the Princess Mother's Center for Facial and Skull Reconstruction across Thailand. Under the concept of 'Powering the Future, Empowering the People', the company has provided over 20 million baht in support, aimed at enhancing management capabilities and continuing patient care, rehabilitation, and quality of life development. They have also promoted educational opportunities through the 'One Scholarship, One Dream, Building the Future' program, offering more than 500 scholarships to help children pursue their dreams and develop skills. Saracht Rattanawadee, CEO of Gulf Development, revealed that this project is a continued collaboration with Chulalongkorn Hospital over 10 years, providing surgical opportunities for underprivileged children with facial abnormalities to help them return to normal social life. The goal is to create opportunities for children from low-income families to pursue their highest educational potential. To mark their 10-year milestone, they organized a symbolic art exhibition called 'Empowering Me-A Power of Identity Beyond Appearances', featuring artwork by 10 young artists from 10 universities nationwide. These artists interpreted interviews with individuals with facial differences, translating their feelings, dreams, strength, and true identity into symbolic artworks. The exhibition serves as a space of understanding, offering individuals with facial disabilities a platform to express their stories, identity, and confidence in living within society, while promoting acceptance and reducing social stigma.
