Knife-Wielding Suspect Arrested for Stabbing Student, Stealing Motorcycle

On February 3rd, police officers from Nakhon Ratchasima conducted an interrogation of Soponvit (surname withheld), 21, who stabbed a victim identified as 'A', an 18-year-old third-year vocational student from Bang Lamung, Chonburi. The suspect was arrested in a rented house in Udom Sap, Wang Nam Khiao District. During questioning, Soponvit confessed that he encountered the victim by chance and offered him a ride. He grew resentful of the victim's brother who had taken some of his cherished possessions, particularly an expensive Playboy brand shirt. In a moment of emotional instability, he attacked the victim with a knife, stealing his motorcycle and abandoning it near the Pattaya bus station. The suspect, who has a history of psychiatric treatment, expressed remorse and requested forgiveness from the victim and his family.
